What we do.
As a licensed practitioner, it is the duty of your chiropractor to do the following:
A thorough review of your specific problem is conducted, including relevant past history and overall health.
You will be asked to perform physical tests and movements to help identify the problem.
In certain situations, an X-ray may be used to confirm the history and examination findings and to investigate for the presence of any underlying bone conditions or pathological developments.
A diagnosis is made, with treatment options for its resolution outlined. If it is able to be resolved through chiropractic care, a plan of treatment is communicated. If it is not a chiropractic problem, an appropriate referral is arranged.
A prognosis is made, taking into account your general health habits, occupation, stress and activity levels.
Your response to treatment is monitored by your chiropractor, who looks for an improvement to your specific condition, as well as for changes in your overall health.
Two of the basic components of chiropractic care are wellness and prevention. Utilization of exercises, along with nutrition and lifestyle modifications may also be suggested to improve your overall well-being and promote active, patient-centered care.
Achievable results depends on your condition. The length of time you have had the problem, your age and the degree of your disability all affect the length of your treatment. Your Doctor of Chiropractic should be able to give you an estimate of the extent of relief you should receive from the recommended treatment and how long you can expect it to last.
One of the main reasons people choose chiropractic is that they often get quick results. Individual cases vary and chronic conditions obviously need more treatment. However, Workers’ Compensation Board studies show that people with low back pain return to work much faster with chiropractic care.
Results to expect.
New Patient Workshop.
As a new patient, it will be necessary for you and your spouse/or guest to attend a one-time, one hour new patient workshop where we talk about your health, how to get it when you need it, and how to not undo what we’re working on doing for you. Our goal is to transform the health of our community and reach as many people as possible, but we can’t do it without your help. You are your friend or family member’s best contact for getting them the care they need! Refer a friend to the office so they can receive the same care we provide for you! We expect you to share your progress with others and refer them to us to see if they have a condition in which we can help as well.
We are not a participating provider for any insurance network so you, as the patient are responsible for your financial obligation. We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and care credit. We do not participate in any insurance networks because as doctors, we feel it is our responsibility to treat you right and give you the care that you need regardless of what kind of insurance you may or may not have. Everyone is treated equally and we will not be responsible for letting your insurance dictate the kind of care you receive. We will lay out a treatment plan according to your needs, not what your insurance (who doesn’t know your condition or how to treat it) dictates.
Our staff will help instruct you on filing a superbill to your insurance company so that if you have insurance that covers part of your chiropractic care, you can be reimbursed directly from your insurance company for whatever coverage they offer. All companies and coverages are different. We recommend that you contact your insurance company to find out what they cover. Superbills will be generated to you the first week of each month for all of your care in the prior month for you to send to your insurance company. We are not participating providers with Medicare, however we will submit all services to Medicare electronically daily for our Medicare patients. Medicare will reimburse the patient directly for the percentage of care that they cover and visits that they allow. Medicare does not cover any part of the patient’s examination, X-ray’s, or therapy/traction.
